A portrait of the poet, painter and performance artist Tóroddur Poulsen
A LINE A DAY MUST BE ENOUGH! is a portrait of Tóroddur Poulsen (born 1957), a remarkable and important unique voice in Faroese literature, art and music for the last 25 years. He has been referred to as the "black punk poet" of the Faroes, though this epithet is probably too narrow, it is precisely his anarchistic, experimental and subtle approach to poetry as well as life, which characterizes his artistic work.
In a film bursting with lyrics, pictures, and music the director shows us a way into the peculiar universe of Tóroddur, and the otherwise not very talkative artist gives us a glimpse of his thoughts on art, God, life and death.

"Being in the company of Tóroddur means that one has to adjust time to the speed, which Tóroddur thinks is appropriate. Not fast, not slow, the 'Tóroddian' speed. Thoughts and ideas come in their time. Maybe no words will come the day you wanted them to; they may then come in force when you didn’t expect any.
In the company of Tóroddur nothing is predictable. Tóroddur does not say what is on his mind to anybody, and a camera makes you neither more nor less interesting in his view.
Tóroddur knows when he has given appropriately, and he is not extravagant. Often you get nothing. But then again...! If you listen carefully, it is there anyway, the Tóroddur thing, and it is these goodies that I want to share with you in this film.
